Gitmo Hits National News Again

Attorney General Michael Mukasey made a plea yesterday to reform the process in which Guantanomo Bay detainees may challenge the legality of their detainment. The much publicized Supreme Court ruling last month, the detainees are now entitled to habeas corpus hearings. You know, so that at least America will follow its own constitution on occasion.

Now I got no problems with picking up the "evil-doers." However, if we're supposed to be the model of democracy in the world, should we not practice it within our own country?
